Crisis & Emergency Risk Communication (CERC): Pandemic Influenza

Emergencies are chaotic and to avoid confusion and reduce uncertainty, all official messages communicated to the public should be accurate, consistent, relevant, and empathetic.

Communicating to concerned members of the community will be a paramount responsibility and the right messages delivered at the right time by the right person could save lives. This course will give leaders and communication professionals the best approaches and tools to exercise quality communication before, during, and after a pandemic.

This model of training has been proven to be highly successful since CDC presented the first basic CERC training in September 2002, which continues to be taught internationally and nationally.
