LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- FEMA Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers (MDRCs) will be open in Noble and Starke counties Tuesday, March 11 thru Friday, March 14 at the following locations:

NOBLE COUNTY
Albion Fire Dept.

STARKE COUNTY
Bass Lake Fire Dept.

Knox, IN 46534

Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
(Announcement of Mobile DRC locations for next week will be forthcoming).

MDRC staff can answer questions about registration for disaster assistance and hazard mitigation, help with disaster loan applications and provide information and contacts for other programs.

Homeowners, renters and business owners affected by the recent severe storms and flooding are encouraged to register for assistance by calling the telephone registration line, 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) which is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (local time) seven days a week. Residents are encouraged to register prior to visiting a DRC.

For speech- or hearing-impaired applicants, the TTY number is 1-800-462-7585. Applicants also may register on-line at www.fema.gov.

Small Business Administration (SBA) representatives will be present at all DRCs to provide assistance in completing disaster loan applications for homeowners, renters and businesses of any size, and to accept completed disaster loan applications. 

Returning the loan application is an essential part of the disaster recovery process even for individuals who do not want a loan.

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
