LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Mitigation specialists offering building tips to make homes more resistant to storms and flooding will be available in Cass, Fulton, Marshall, White, Elkhart and Tippecanoe counties from Feb. 29- Mar. 16.

The mitigation teams are sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in cooperation with local businesses and community sponsored Home and Garden shows.

"Information provided includes cleanup and repair techniques for flooded homes; how to prevent mold growth; ways to flood-proof your home and how to buy flood insurance."
