Additional Disaster Recovery Centers Open To Assist Flood Victims

Moorhead, MN -- To further help individuals and businesses affected by the severe flooding that began June 9, the State of Minnesota and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are opening two new Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in addition to the one in Roseau. The new centers will open on Monday, July 1, and will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday until further notice. The Disaster Recover Centers will be closed Sundays and July 4.

Disaster Recovery Centers are designed to provide personal assistance to those who have already applied for help and may have further questions. The centers are staffed by state, federal, and voluntary agencies, including loan officers from the U.S. Small Business Administration and the alternate housing officer. The disaster programs available include temporary housing, individual and family grants, disaster unemployment assistance, and other aid programs. PLEASE NOTE: Financial assistance is not directly provided from these centers.
