THE JANUARY 05 2007 WINTER STORM

The first winter storm of the year moved into north central and northeast Colorado late on January 4th.  The storm was a fast moving moist Pacific storm system that was tracking along with a strong upper atmospheric jet stream. This storm dissipated rapidly on Friday January 5th.   We received many snowfall reports from our snow spotter network and organized the reports into the graphical display below:
