VideoCast Website Offers a New Feature: iCalendarAttend world class seminars from your office: from in-depth lectures about cutting-edge medical research to workshops on preventing identity theft, dozens of special NIH events, seminars, and lectures are available each month from the Center for Information Technology (CIT) VideoCast website. VideoCasting is a method of electronically streaming digitally encoded video and audio data from a server to a client computer. Streaming files are not downloaded, but rather are broadcast in a manner similar to television broadcasts. You can find a schedule of upcoming events, as well as an archive of past VideoCasts, at the CIT VideoCast website (http://videocast.nih.gov/). Upcoming events are broadcast online at the date and time indicated on our website. The site now also offers iCalendar, a new feature that enables you to add scheduled VideoCasts to your Outlook Calendar, so you can easily keep track of upcoming events you would like to see. How to use the iCalendar feature
TIP: If you still missed that VideoCast, you can search our archives of Past Events to view recorded events at your convenience. Not all VideoCasts are archived, but most will be recorded and made available in the Past Events section within 2 weeks of the live date. Questions? If you have questions about VideoCasts, please contact the NIH Help Desk at http://ithelpdesk.nih.gov/support or call 301-496-4357, 301-496-8294 (TTY) or toll free at 866-319-4357 and ask for the NIH VideoCast team. |
