NIAAA welcomes applications for Competitive Revisions, Administrative Supplements, and Administrative Supplements Providing Summer Research Experiences consistent with the goals of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

Recovery Act Funds for Competitive Revision ApplicationsNIAAA anticipates awarding up to $8 million for revision applications consistent with the goals of NOT-OD-09-058 and the economic stimulus goals of the ARRA. Award decisions will be made based upon 1) priority score ranking, 2) adherence to the economic stimulus goals of the ARRA, and 3) availability of resources.
At the time of submission of paper Program Project, Center and Cooperative Agreement applications using the PHS 398 forms, two additional copies of the application and all copies of the appendix material (in CDs) should be sent to the address listed below.

Recovery Act Funds for Administrative Supplements
NIAAA anticipates awarding up to $8 million for administrative supplements NOT-OD-09-056 not to exceed $100,000 direct costs per year per supplement. For administrative supplements, the parent grant must be active for the duration of the supplement. Applications will be evaluated within NIAAA on the basis of 1) adherence to the economic stimulus goals of the ARRA, 2) impact on the particular scientific project, and 3) reasonableness of costs with respect to available resources. NIAAA will be reviewing requests for administrative supplements on May 1, 2009 and again on June 1, 2009. To be considered, submissions must be received before either of these dates, although additional requests may be considered later in the year depending on the availability of funds.
