Rembrandt's Landscapes: Drawings and Prints

March 11-May 20, 1990

Overview: 60 drawings and 40 prints of landscapes were arranged thematically in 6 sections: Early Works, Farmhouses and Country Roads, Imaginary Landscapes, Architecture, Along Canals and Rivers, and Panoramas. Cynthia P. Schneider, assistant professor of art history at Georgetown University, was the exhibition curator. Margaret Morgan Grasselli, curator of old master drawings, was the coordinating curator at the National Gallery. Gaillard Ravenel and Mark Leithauser designed the exhibition, and Gordon Anson designed the lighting.
