Dürer to Diebenkorn: Recent Acquisitions of Art on Paper
Overview: On view were 114 prints and drawings received after the 50th anniversary of the National Gallery of Art. Also included was The Gallant Gardener, a previously unknown red chalk drawing by Antoine Watteau. It had recently been discovered by curator Andrew Robison and purchased by the Gallery at auction in London.
The coordinator for the show was Andrew Robison, Andrew W. Mellon senior curator at the National Gallery of Art.
