Research Overview
The overall mission of the Biodata Mining & Discovery section is to assist and to participate in biomedical research with computational and bioinformatics approaches in support of the ultimate research goals of the NIAMS IRP. We are currently focused on providing microarray data analysis related bioinformatics support, including group and one-on-one training and consultation, data analysis strategy and algorithm development for specific research projects, and interpretation of data analysis results. We also conduct research to evaluate emerging techniques and algorithms in the rapidly evolving field of microarray data mining and bring the best to the IRP researchers. In addition, we develop in-house software tools to meet the specific needs of the IRP researchers for their microarray based research projects.
