| Abstract: | (CIT): On the Public Agenda for the meeting is a report of the evaluation of the NCI Listens and Learns website, which was a 2-year pilot program of the DCLG. The members of the DCLG who are assigned to working groups and scientific committees of NCI will also report on recently attended meetings. There will be an update on the CARRA program. The NCI Director, Dr. John E. Niederhuber, will update the members on NCI budget and scientific activities. NCI reports on Legislative Affairs, Budget and Planning, Translational Research Working Group and the Clinical Trials Working Group, will be made. The meeting will conclude with DCLG discussing the NCI Director's charge to the DCLG in the areas of Eliminating cancer health disparities; NCI Community Cancer Centers Program and Clinical trials recruitment and patient outreach, and discussing action steps in advising the Director. http://deainfo.nci.nih.gov/advisory/dclg/dclgfo.htm. |
