Fellowships

DEISS sponsors several fellowship opportunities with partners such as the American Society for Microbiology, the Association for Public Health Laboratories, and the Association of Minority Health Professions Schools (AMHPS).

James A. Ferguson Emerging Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program
Introduces underrepresented minority graduate students to careers in public health and infectious diseases, and to opportunities at CDC.

Emerging Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program
Provides bachelors, masters, and post-doctoral level scientists training opportunities in public health laboratory research and practice at CDC or in state and local public health laboratories.

ASM/CCID Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship Program in Infectious Diseases and Public Health Microbiology
Provides post-doctoral scientists opportunities to conduct research in infectious disease or public health microbiology at one of CDC's national laboratories.
