Health System Transformation Lecture Series

CDC and Emory University’s Institute for Advanced Policy Solutions in partnership with the CDC Foundation conducted a series of lectures on health system transformation during 2008. This lecture series was intended to create a larger forum of discussion regarding health system transformation, health care reform, and health policies.

December 8, 2008

Fred Sanfilippo, MD, PhD, Executive Vice President for Health Affairs and CEO, Woodruff Health Sciences Center, Emory, delivered the concluding lecture in this series, “Getting From Here to There: Health System Transformation in Three Easy Steps!” Also participating were Bradley Perkins, MD, MBA, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Kenneth E. Thorpe, PhD, Emory University.

October 15, 2008

Steven A. Schroeder, MD, Distinguished Professor of Health and Health Care, Department of Medicine, University of California at San Francisco, gave the lecture, "The Challenge for Public Health: Creating the Healthiest Nation." Also participating were Charles Stokes, President and CEO, CDC Foundation, and Julie L. Gerberding, MD, MPH, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
