FEMA’s Software Program for Estimating Potential Losses from Disasters
HAZUS-MH is a powerful risk assessment software program for analyzing potential losses from floods, hurricane winds and earthquakes. In HAZUS-MH, current scientific and engineering knowledge is coupled with the latest geographic information systems (GIS) technology to produce estimates of hazard-related damage before, or after, a disaster occurs.
The Comprehensive Data Management System (CDMS) provides users with the capability to update and manage statewide and HAZUS datasets, which are used to support analysis in the HAZUS-MH. Once data are imported in the statewide datasets, the CDMS will allow users to query, sort, export and print information. Read about CDMS.
