Registration Information

These seminars are intended to help demystify the application and review process, clarify Federal regulations and policies, and highlight current areas of special interest or concern. The seminars serve the NIH mission of providing education and training for the next generation of biomedical and behavioral scientist. NIH policy, grants management, review and program staff, as well as representatives from the Office of Research Integrity, OHRP, and OLAW provide a broad array of expertise and encourage personal interaction between themselves and seminar participants. The seminars are appropriate for grants administrators, researchers new to NIH, and graduate students.

There will also be three-hour NIH electronic research administration workshops offered in conjunction with the seminars.  The Computer Workshop will give institutional grant administrators and principal investigators hands-on-keyboard training on the NIH electronic grant application process.  The emphasis will be on finding and using the correct application package including the SF424 (R&R) application form, following application instructions, checking submission status in the NIH eRA Commons system and reviewing the assembled application.  Trainers will walk participants through the process as well as provide tips for avoiding common errors and advice from experience.  Space is limited...so register early!

The NIH Regional Seminars are limited in size. Please secure confirmation of registration before purchasing airline tickets, etc.

Don’t miss your opportunity to take part in 2007!
