The National Institute on Aging (NIA) announces that effective July 2, 2006 new R01 applications will no longer be accepted by NIA in response to Program Announcement PA-05-136 entitled “ Testing Stem Cell Therapy in Mouse Models of Premature Aging”. Also effective February 2, 2006 new R21 applications will no longer be accepted under this PA.

• For the receipt date of February 1, 2006 new applications for both R21 and R01 mechanisms will be acceptable. Revised applications will be accepted for the receipt date of March 1, 2006 for both R21 and R01 mechanisms.
• Revised applications for R21s will not be accepted after March 2, 2006 under this PA.
