The 2008 Emmy®-nominee for Outstanding Reality Program, A&E's series "Intervention," which profiles people who are struggling with addictions and the friends and family members who are seeking to help them, returns for a seventh season with all new episodes beginning on Monday, May 25 at 9:00pm ET/PT.

The new season of the four-time Prism Award-winning series will feature some of the most compelling stories to date including: a fireman traumatized by a fire that nearly took his life and the partner he rescued who is desperate to save him from alcoholism; a young man adopted from India at age 3 who refuses to accept the love of his adoptive family and is losing his life to heroin addiction; anorexic identical twins who would rather die than lose the title of being the thinner sister; and a young man whose picture-perfect suburban life was shattered by the Columbine High School massacre 10 years ago struggling with feelings of sadness and guilt and an addiction to heroin and cocaine.

"Intervention" is a powerful and gripping series in which people confront their darkest demons and seek a route to redemption. The series profiles people whose dependence on drugs and alcohol or other compulsive behavior has brought them to a point of personal crisis and estranged them from their friends and loved ones. Each episode ends with a surprise intervention that is staged by the family and friends of the addict, and which is conducted by one of three specialists: Jeff VanVonderen, Candy Finnigan and Ken Seeley. Exclusive updated interviews with past subjects from the series first six seasons are available on AETV.com/intervention.

The series has conducted 125 interventions since its premiere in March of 2005, 102 individuals are currently sober. In its sixth season "Intervention" averaged 2.1 million total viewers, 1.4 million A25-54 and 1.5 million A18-49. The series is A&E's #1 program among these demos.

Inspired by the incredible response from viewers, individuals and families in recovery to the series, A&E Network along with leading federal agencies and non-profit organizations launched The Recovery Project. The multi-year, multi-platform initiative was designed to help raise awareness that addiction is a treatable disease and recovery is possible. This past September more than 5,000 people, including Individuals and families in recovery, treatment partners and advocates from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, gathered in New York City for a historic walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to symbolize unity and hope for recovery. The walk ended in City Hall Park and was followed by a rally featuring public speakers and musical performances. This year's rally and walk will take place in New York City on September 12th .

A&E continues to co-host, along with the Partnership for a Drug Free America (PDFA), and leading MSOs such as Time Warner Cable, Cox and Comcast, Intervention Town Hall meetings in cities across the country. The Town Hall meetings offer opportunities for parents, teens, addicts, government officials, health professionals, substance abuse prevention experts and educators to develop a better understanding about the root causes and consequences of addiction.

Robert Sharenow and Colleen Conway are the executive producers for A&E Network. INTERVENTION is produced for A&E Network by GRB. Dan Partland and Sam Mettler are executive producers. The series was created by Sam Mettler.

  • A&E Premieres New Original Nonfiction Series "Obsessed"

A&E explores the world of individuals suffering from extreme anxiety disorders, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder and Hoarding, and tells the stories of their struggles to overcome them in the new original nonfiction series "Obsessed." The eleven episode, one-hour series debuts Monday, May 25 at 10pm ET/PT following the season premiere of the Emmy®-nominated "Intervention."

According to the Anxiety Disorder Association of America, Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older. "Obsessed" examines the lives of everyday people imprisoned by unmanageable, repetitive behaviors and sometimes debilitating fear. The show explores the stories of sufferers as well as the adverse effects their disorder has on their friends and family. Each participant will undergo a highly successful form of cognitive behavioral therapy that exposes themselves to the sources of their greatest anxiety in an attempt to manage their fears.

"The series sheds a light on the vast world of anxiety disorders, while offering those who suffer from these debilitating afflictions a path to recovery," said Robert Sharenow, Senior Vice President, Nonfiction and Alternative Programming, A&E Network and BIO. "Like 'Intervention,' Obsessed takes an honest and unflinching look at a difficult subject, programming that has come to resonate with our viewers and that underscores the essence of our brand."

Each one-hour episode of "Obsessed" explores two individual cases where the subjects face debilitating extreme anxiety disorders, their struggle and the process of rehabilitation. Whether it is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, Hoarding or a variety of phobias, the unscripted series gives viewers a chance to see first-hand how an obsession can radically affect a person's life. "Obsessed" not only captures the particulars of the condition but sees the subject through the incredible emotion of therapy and one-on-one sessions with one of five therapists: John Tsilimparis, MFT, Karen Pickett, MA, MFT, Shana Doronn, MSW, LCSW, PSY.D, Rebecca L. Gladding, M.D., and Dr. Craig April, Ph.D.

By using cognitive behavioral therapy, each subject is taught how to understand their thought process which contributes to symptoms and how to change thought patterns, manage their anxiety and avoid the debilitating compulsions. The series then revisits each subject after several weeks of treatment to see if the obsession lingers.

In the series opener, Helen, a single mother of three is tormented every day by her OCD as it's making her life a nightmare. Her anxiety was spiked when her father died in a car accident. She has extreme panic attacks while driving and she obsessively puts on her father's bloody clothes from that fatal night. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (CBT) widely described as the most effective treatment for OCD, Helen must face her fears and try to come to terms with her father's death and her inability to drive. Meanwhile, Scott is a germaphobe who doesn't keep a trashcan in his house, doesn't have any pictures on the wall, washes his hands 50 times a day and sleeps on the sofa because it takes him too long to make his bed in the morning. His OCD has caused him to be desperately alone and he must face his fears through CBT in hopes that he can have a successful relationship.

"Obsessed" is produced for A&E by Tijuana Entertainment ("The Two Coreys," "Shooting Sizemore") by executive producers Troy Searer and John Foy. Also executive producing for Tijuana is Rob LaPlante. A&E Executive Producers are Robert Sharenow and Scott Lonker.

Mot is a boy who cannot die.

Riddle him with bullets, burn him at the stake, douse him with napalm, hang him from the gallows... still, he will walk away.

Forever haunted by a mysterious doppelganger that no one else can see, Mot has wandered the world for centuries, searching for meaning and, perhaps, an end to his endless life.

He is a Revenant-an immortal, ageless creature that has existed since time immemorial. Their origins are a mystery-they have been worshipped as gods, feared as monsters, and scorned as devils. But they have always been there, living in plain sight, in the bright altars and dark corners of every ancient civilization since the beginning of humanity. There has never been a force on this earth that has been able to give them the death that Mot, secretly, seeks.

    Until now.

Now, something is different. Now they are being hunted.

A shadow organization, known only as Sanctum, has discovered a way to kill the Revenants, and is carrying out a secret genocide that spans the globe. Mot, his protégé Connor, and the rest of the Revenants now must decide how to ensure their place at the top of the food chain.

Mot finds himself smack in the middle of an escalating war between mortals and immortals, neither of which he identifies with. Will he choose a side? Or will he be labeled a traitor, and be hunted down not only by humans, but also by creatures as invulnerable and merciless as he is?

Nick Simmons' breakout American Manga title reveals a world that challenges even the imagination, planting its tongue firmly in cheek, then biting it off... And swallowing it.

  • A&E Presents the New Unscripted Series "Tattoo Highway" Featuring Thomas Pendleton

A&E Network takes tattoo television on a road trip through the cross-country travels of master tattoo artist Thomas Pendelton on "Tattoo Highway." The 13-episode, half-hour series will premieres Wednesday, May 27 at 10PM ET/PT on A&E.

Pendelton and his business partner and wife Monica have transformed a 1970s tour bus into a tattoo parlor on wheels, featuring a swanky interior and top-of-the-line tattooing equipment. It's a tattoo shop that can tattoo anyone, anywhere.

"From the creation of the art, to the environment that I tattooed in, it has always been about my customers' experience," says Pendelton. "In a street shop it was easy to forget just how personal that experience should be. Rolling up and parking the shop right in the middle of someone's life, well, there is nothing more personal than that."

15-year tattoo veteran and star of former A&E hit "Inked," Pendelton and his new business "Ministry of Ink" hit the road in this new series to transform personal stories into living art. To create a touching memorial tattoo that brings him to tears, Pendelton mixes the cremated ashes of a deceased wife into the ink for a portrait on her husband's chest. For another job, he uses UV ink for a tattoo only visible with a black light, for one man's constant reminder of his mother. From a pair of matching eggplants, to a giant gorilla riding a scooter and an emblem of Apache stars on the forehead of an elderly woman, Pendelton and his team encounter unusual and inspiring stories from Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Salt Lake City and beyond.

Ride along as emotional limits and friendships are challenged and the persistent mechanical problems of a vintage bus are tested on the road, as "Tattoo Highway" proves to be one bumpy ride.

"Tattoo Highway" is produced for A&E Networks by Juma Entertainment, LLC. Bob Horowitz and Lewis Fenton are executive producers for Juma Entertainment, LLC. A&E executive producers are Robert Sharenow and Neil A. Cohen.
