The Hampton Roads Naval Museum is an accredited museum operated by the United
States Navy that celebrates the 220 years history of the fleet in the
Hampton Roads region of Virginia. We are
located on the second floor of
Nauticus.
So, come to
beautiful downtown Norfolk, Virginia and see the museum that was chosen
as the "Best Small Museum in Hampton Roads" by Hampton Roads magazine!
Spring Hours
USS Wisconsin and Hampton Roads Naval Museum are operating on Spring hours. We welcome visitors Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Both the museum and battleship are closed on Mondays.
Both the museum and the ship are free of admission charge.
2009 Teacher Workshop
August 12-14
We are inviting school teachers to sign up for the museum's summer teacher workshop series. Participants can earn six accreditation points for each class. Programs also counts towards apple points. New Daybook Published
Volume 13 Issue 4 Now Online
A new edition of The Daybook, the museum's quarterly publication of local naval history and events is now online. This issue looks at the William R. Trigg Company, a late 19th century shipyard in Richmond, Virginia. Click here to download it. Print copies are at no charge.
