Abstract: (CIT): Redox Biology (RB) The course is designed for NIH fellows to enhance their knowledge of redox biology. Reactive species such as superoxide, hydrogen peroxide and nitric oxide are associated with cellular toxicity, however, nitric oxide is useful in the treatment cardiovascular disease. The course will examine the role of reactive nitrogen and oxygen species in carcinogenesis, cancer proliferation and angiogenesis.
