Abstract: | (CIT):The course is designed for NIH fellows to enhance their knowledge of redox biology. Reactive species such as superoxide, hydrogen peroxide and nitric oxide are associated with cellular toxicity; however, nitric oxide is useful in the treatment cardiovascular disease. The course will examine the role of reactive nitrogen and oxygen species in carcinogenesis, cancer proliferation and angiogenesis. |
