Viewing Adobe Acrobat PDF files

• Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. Download the latest version here.



• View the PDF in the Adobe Acrobat Reader program, not through your browser. There are known issues with the Acrobat applet that is used to display PDF's within browsers. You must change your preferences in your Adobe Acrobat Reader. To do this, after opening Adobe Acrobat go to Edit->Preferences->Options and unselect the option "Display PDF in Browser". Now when you click on a link to a PDF document it will open in Adobe Acrobat and not your browser. You may receive a dialog box asking if you want to download the file. If you click on "Open", it will open in Adobe Acrobat so you may view it.



• Please remember that some documents are fairly large (i.e. Local Rules). Thus, you may see a blank window for some time, depending on your connection to the Internet, while the document is loading. If you click on another link, close the window, or interfere with the window in any way before the document is finished loading, the document might not display at all.
