The Minerals Management Service, Pacific Region, is tasked with overseeing the oil and gas operations and activities on the leases (currently 79; 43 of which are producing) in the federal OCS waters offshore southern California. Regulatory requirements govern the activities on these leases providing for safe and environmentally sound operations.
