Sample Cancellation Message

The sample below shows the standard format for Cancellation messages. They contain their own serial number and issue date and time, four keywords; message name proceeded by CANCEL, serial number of message being cancelled, the original message issue time, and a Comment explaining the reason for cancellation. Cancellations are normally issued for the following reasons:

• Correct an error. The original message is cancelled and a corrected message, with new serial number, is issued.
• End an active Warning before the original "Valid To" date/time, when conditions warrant.
• Discontinue an A-index Watch due to a significant change in predicted conditions.
