Below are archives of Treasury International Capital (TIC) data that were released monthly on Treasury's TIC website. The archived data cover: purchases and sales of long-term securities by foreign-residents; claims and liabilities to foreign-residents reported monthly/quarterly by banks and brokers/dealers of securities; claims and liabilities to foreign-residents reported quarterly by nonbanks; and holdings and settlements of derivatives contracts with foreign-residents reported quarterly by businesses with large holdings of derivatives contracts.

. Each archive is a .zip file containing the TIC data released on the date shown in the filename. In each zip file, all data files except two are space-delimited .txt files that you can view in wordprocessors and spreadsheets; one is a .csv file, and one is a .pdf file. The descriptions of the data files will help you more easily find and extract (from the .zip file) the data file you want to view. The most recent list of country codes-country names is in "Resources" in the upper-right section of the webpage. More details about the archived data can be found below.

-- Regarding country data, note that beginning with the release on November 16, 2006, data were added for several new countries (with new country codes) and data was discontinued for others. The most recent data available for the discontinued countries and groups of countries are contained in the zip file with the release on October 17, 2006. That zip file also contains the previous list of country codes that covered all TIC data released before November 16, 2006.
-- Beginning in December 2003, releases are made at 9:00 a.m. in Washington D.C.. The earlier releases were made between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. in Washington D.C.. A separate webpage shows the previous monthly .
