American Lung Association

The American Lung Association (ALA)’s mission is to prevent lung disease and promote lung health. ALA programs seek to influence the development and enforcement of laws and regulations at national, state, and local levels, providing authoritative information to policymakers. These include the landmark federal Clean Air Act and the law prohibiting smoking on domestic passenger airline flights.

CDC’s Public Health Law Program

CDC’s Public Health Law Program, whose mission is to improve the health of the public through the law, offers resources on public health issues, including asthma.
