PHILADELPHIA – The Internal Revenue Service today announced special tax relief for residents of Chester County, part of the Presidential Disaster Area struck by the storms Henri and Isabel during the period Sept. 15-23, 2003.

• The FTD Penalty Waiver Period for employment and excise tax deposits is Sept. 15-29, 2003.
• The Extension Period for returns and other tax payments is Sept. 15 through Nov. 18, 2003.
• The Disaster Designation for this area is “Henri-Isabel” – taxpayers mark certain relief-related forms with this designation.
