Plasma Screen Floating Mount
This invention is a new mounting system for flat panel display screens. This mounting system has proven to eliminate vibration and dampen shock, enabling use of plasma screens in mobile
applications. Manufacturers recommend against mounting large display screens in environments where shock and vibration occur. The plasma screen floating mount was devised for use in a high tech mobile surveillance laboratory. This mobile laboratory performs a wide variety of monitoring and detection activities, often while being driven over rough terrain or down the highway at 65-70 mph. The current mount supports a 42-inch plasma display screen weighing about 60 pounds and provides stable, interference-free pictures.

Market Assessment
Flat panel video technology is gaining popularity and there are numerous applications for the floating mount such as medical, military, defense, environmental mobile laboratories, or mobile command centers. Any mobile installation of a plasma screen will benefit from this unique product.

Patent Status
U.S. patent 6,808,148 has been issued on this technology.
