Environmental Impact of the ATOC/Pioneer Seamount Submarine Cable (2003) Irina Kogan, Charles K. Paull, Linda Kuhnz, Erica J. Burton, Susan Von Thun, H. Gary Greene, and James P. Barry.

A submarine cable was installed in October 1995, between Pioneer Seamount and the Pillar Point Air Force Station in Half Moon Bay, California. Survey objectives of this study were to describe the state of the cable and document its effect on the seafloor and on benthic organisms.
