College of Management MBA Ranked 58th in North America!

The College of Management’s MBA Program recently was selected for the QS Global 200 Business Schools 2009: The Employers’ Choice list of top MBA programs in the world.  The UMass Boston MBA Program was ranked 58th overall in North America. Our MBA Program was further recognized for its excellence in Information Technology, ranked 29th in the world and 15th in North America. For more information click here and here.

 

CM Professor helps to develop Intel product which was
named “Product of the Year”

Professor Paul Delvy, who teaches a new CM MBA Course on “New Product Development”, was a key developer of a product by Intel which was recently awarded the “2009 North American Home Health Devices Product of the Year Award.”   The development team’s product, the Intel Health Guide, was designed to assist health care professionals who manage patients with chronic conditions.  For details click here

 

College of Management Introduces Center for Sustainable Enterprise and Regional Competitiveness (SERC)

The College of Management introduces the new Center for Sustainable Enterprise and Regional Competitiveness, an initiative led by David Levy, Chair of the Department of Management and Marketing and Professor of Management.  The mission of the new Center is to foster a transition to a clean, sustainable, and prosperous economy.  To learn more about SERC click here.

 

MBA Students' Paper Accepted for Publication in Journal of Healthcare Management

A team of Master’s students in the College of Management recently had a paper published in a top health care journal.  The paper started as a semester-long project in the first-semester MBA MGT 650 course: Organizational Analysis and Skills.  Professor Benyamin Lichtenstein supported the first author in writing a first draft that was presented at the 2008 International Academy of Management Conference (a conference for 7000+ Ph.D. level academics).

 

CM Commits to Principles for Responsible Management Education

The College of Management has become a signatory to a global group of business schools that have committed themselves to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME).  The Principles, inspired by the United Nations Global Compact, provide a framework for academic institutions to advance corporate social responsibility through the incorporation of universal values into curricula and research.  For details on the Principles and PRME click here
