Alternate Site Tax Help
The IRS brings face-to-face service to taxpayers in locations outside local IRS offices during the tax filing season, through alternate sites and mobile units. IRS representatives at these temporary locations help individuals with inquiries or adjustments to tax accounts, payment plans and IRS letters and notices. Representatives also answer tax questions related to individuals’ federal tax returns and help prepare and e-file basic returns for those who qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit or have incomes of $39,000 or less. Commonly requested tax forms are available. Services are on a first come, first served basis.
Local IRS Taxpayer Assistance Centers nearest IRS office offer face-to-face service year-round.
