  • May 1, 2009 - The United States Marshals Service’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Georgia Homicide Suspect Jerry Robert Hobbs.  In 1989 it is believed that Hobbs former girlfriend, Dianne Quinsenberry was removed from a Battered Women’s Shelter in Cairo, Ga. It is alleged that Quinsenberry was beaten to death although her body has never been recovered. Recently Investigator’s with the Thomas County Georgia Sheriff’s Office developed evidence that caused a warrant to be issued for Hobbs.
  • April 15, 2009 - In December of 2008, the United States Marshals DFW FAST initiated “Operation Rain” focusing on sex offenders, specifically those involved in sexual crimes against children as well as non-registered sex offenders that could be prosecuted under the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act.  “Operation Rain” , which stands for Research, Arrest, Indict, Now was divided into two phases. DFW FAST “Researched” numerous felony warrants and during Phase I identified sex offenders wanted by various agencies within the Dallas & Fort Worth area.  On December 9, 2008, task force officers conducted an intensive three day enforcement effort to kick off the operation “Arresting” 34 of the initially identified offenders. 
  • December 09, 2008 - The United States Marshals Service for the Northern District of Texas announced today the completion of a three day operation to locate, apprehend, and bring to justice individuals in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area wanted on sex related charges. The three day operation resulted in 30 subjects arrested, with a combined criminal history that reflects 173 prior arrests, 27 of these being for Sex Offenses.
  • October 02, 2008 - For Dusty Gus Hernandez, the chase is finally over. U.S. Marshals arrested Hernandez, one of Texas’ Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, at a house in Arlington, Texas last night. The arrest brings to close an intense manhunt that began on March 12th of this year when Hernandez fled town to avoid trial in Midland County for two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and one count of Indecency with a Child.
  • August 13, 2008 - On August 12, 2008, the U.S. Marshals Service E/LA Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force (CSFTF) arrested Marko Tavizon in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dallas County investigators allege that Tavizon, 34, sexually assaulted a seven year old female child in June of this year. Due to the age of the victim, Tavizon was charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Juvenile.
  • July 30, 2008 - On July 29, 2008, the U.S. Marshals Service E/LA Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force (CSFTF) and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office (JPSO) arrested Edward Veal, in Gretna, Louisiana. Veal was listed as #1 on the (JPSO) Top 100 most wanted fugitives list, for charges of First Degree Murder and Attempted Second Degree Murder. On July 29, 2008, the U.S. Marshals Service Northern District of Texas (N/TX) promptly acted on information provided by the U.S. Marshals Service (CSFTF) and arrested Garcia-Viera, Rene, with assistance from the Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood, Texas. Garcia-Viera was listed as #7 on the (JPSO) Top 100 most wanted fugitives list, for a charge of Attempted Murder.
  • July 08, 2008 - On Monday, July 7, 2008, Strike Team Officers from the Dallas Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (DFW FAST), arrested Demond Stuard in Dallas, Texas. Three hours later, officers arrested Anton Wallace at the same address. Demond Stuard and Anton Wallace are suspects in an attempted robbery, car-jacking, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon that occurred May 16, 2008, when Stuard and Wallace approached a female in her vehicle in the parking lot of the North Park Mall shopping center in Dallas.
  • July 01, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals Service for the Northern District of Texas conducted another successful Operation FALCON (Federal and Local Cops Organized Nationally) from June 24-30. Operation FALCON – North Texas main focus was capturing individuals wanted on felony charges including sexual predators and fugitives wanted for crimes of violence. Utilizing the Marshals Service District Task Force, the Dallas Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (DFW FAST), as the platform to coordinate Operation FALCON, the mission was the most successful FALCON thus far in the North Texas area. Over the course of the seven-day operation, Deputy U.S. Marshals, teamed with federal, state, and local law enforcement partners, arrested 444 fugitives clearing 573 felony warrants.
  • April 24, 2008 - Strike Team Officers from the Fort Worth Police Department, along with Deputy United States Marshals arrested Jay Allen and Malcolm Strickland on charges of Capital Murder. Allen and Strickland are considered suspects in the murder of Michael Myers, 59, during the robbery of the Best Western located in Fort Worth, TX. Myers was shot multiple times during the robbery which occurred at approximately on April 21, 2008.
  • April 15, 2008 - Strike Team Officers from the Dallas Police Department and Dallas County Sheriffs Department along with Deputy United States Marshals arrested Eric Christopher Hodges in Alvarado, Texas. Hodges is considered a suspect in the murder of Lois Jean Ivory, 53, of De Soto, who was found shot to death in her cab in west Grand Prairie around 9:00pm Sunday night, April 13, 2008.
  • March 27, 2008 - Thirteen members of a major cocaine-trafficking organization operating in the Lubbock, TX area have been arrested on charges outlined in five federal indictments that were unsealed this morning in Lubbock, announced U.S. Attorney Richard B. Roper of the Northern District of Texas. Additionally, law enforcement officers executed seven search warrants at various locations in Lubbock and Lynn County, resulting in the seizure of approximately two kilograms of cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, firearms, U.S. currency, financial records, and vehicles.
  • January 10, 2008 - At a ceremony this afternoon at Dallas Police Department Headquarters, U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions, of the 32nd District of Texas, along with U.S. Attorney Richard B. Roper and U.S. Marshal Randy Ely, both of the Northern District of Texas, presented a check representing $225,000 to Dallas Police Chief David Kunkle to continue funding the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Program.
  • December 17, 2007 - On December 14, 2007 detectives with the Mesquite Police Department contacted the United States Marshals Service Dallas Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (DFW FAST) and requested assistance locating and arresting James Thetford. On December 13, 2007 Thetford entered and robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Mesquite. Thetford stole approximately $1100.00 before he fled from the bank.
  • November 27, 2007 - U.S. Marshals Service Dallas Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (DFW FAST), along with members of the Dallas Police Department, arrested Corey Caldwell at the Lido Adult Theater in Dallas, TX. Caldwell was wanted by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office for Escape. The arrest ended a lengthy, joint fugitive investigation by the Dallas County Sheriffs Office and DFW FAST.
  • August 29, 2007 - On August 20, 2007 two unknown males approached Samuel West, 63, in the parking lot of a church in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. West was robbed by the two men and shot and killed. West was a Kimball high school coach. The unknown males fled the scene. On August 23, 2007 Dallas Police homicide detectives identified Jajuan Foster, 19, and Gcorey Jones, 18, as primary suspects in the coach’s murder.
  • August 01, 2007 - Following a two-year tradition of success in its national efforts, the U.S. Marshals Service locally conducted another successful Operation FALCON (Federal and Local Cops Organized Nationally) from July 18-25. Led by the U.S. Marshals Service, Operation FALCON is an ongoing, multi-city, nationwide law enforcement effort. Since its onset this year, Operation FALCON 2007 has netted 1546 arrests and cleared 1764 warrants in seven operations.
  • March 09, 2007- On March 8, 2007 members of the Dallas Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (DFW FAST) assisted by Dallas Police SWAT and patrol officers arrested Wadelen Sumlin at a northeast Dallas apartment on Murder charges out of Shreveport, Louisiana.
  • March 09, 2007 - The Dallas Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (DFW FAST) with assistance from the Dallas Police Department SWAT Team arrested Ismael Ortiz III after a two hour stand-off with police. Mr. Ortiz was wanted by the Val Verde Sheriffs Department for two outstanding felony warrants.
  • February 14, 2007 - Escaped gang member, Omar Haki Smith, is arrested by DFW FAST.  On July 21, 2006 Dallas Police patrol officers arrested Smith for Manufacture & Delivery of Cocaine and Unlawful Possession of Firearm by a Felon. Smith was handcuffed and seated on the ground when he successfully fled on foot and escaped from custody.
  • January 14, 2007 - On the morning of January 13, 2007, the Eastern District of Louisiana (EDLA) U.S. Marshals Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force (CSFTF) arrested Donald Greenup, 25 years old, in New Orleans, Louisiana at his place of employment without incident. He was wanted on a warrant issued January 12, 2007, out of Dallas County, Texas charging him with capital murder/capital felony.
