Troubleshooting PDF files
Solution: Adobe provides these
two options to try.
Save the file
- Position the mouse over the link on the web
page and right-click (a pop-up menu will appear).
- Click "Save Target As"·
- In the File Name box, type a name for the file
(or use the default filename), and then click Save.
- Once the file is saved on your computer, start
Acrobat Reader and open the file you have just
saved.

Acrobat 4.0
- Open the Acrobat Reader application
- Click on the "File" item on your menu
bar
- Choose "Preferences" item
- Select the "General" preferences
- Go to the "Options" box at the bottom
of this window
- De-select the Web Browser Integration item
- Click the OK buton.
- Close Acobat Reader.
- Close your Browser.
Acrobat 5.0
- Open the Acrobat Reader application
- Click on the "Edit" item on your menu
bar
- Choose "Preferences" item
- Choose "Options" from the list on
the left side of this window
- Uncheck "Display PDF in Browser"
- Click the OK buton.
- Close Acobat Reader.
- Close your Browser.
Please note: by removing the web browser
integration, you will no longer be able follow links
from the PDF document to other items on the Internet.
You will be able to follow the internal PDF document
