Offutt facility wins White House Award
OFFUTT AIR FORE BASE, Neb. -- The HQ Air Force Weather Agency facility here continues to earn recognition and honors by winning a 2009 White House Closing the Circle Award. The Office of the Federal Environmental Executive announced April 30 that the AFWA project was selected as the winning entry in the "Sustainable Design/Green Buildings - Military" CTC Award category.

Weekly library service strengthens base community
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- As storm clouds dominated the Southwest Oklahoma sky April 16, bringing howling winds and pelting rain, clouds and wind also swept through the quiet stacks at the base library. Master Sgt. James Howard, flight chief for the 97th Operations Support Squadron's weather flight, shared two books on weather in what has become a treasured pastime for Altus youth.
