- The
Permits are $85.00 ⁄ month.

PCS permit?
- When
you purchase your PCS permit, a renewal form will be provided to you.
You can then renew your permits either by mail or by walking into the
Parking Sales and Collection office on Ellsworth Ave.

PROCESSING
- 1. Fill in the required month.
- 2. Make any address change as
needed.
- 3. Renewal forms will
indicate the facility where you usually park. If this changes, please
note this on the renewal.
- 4. Carpool permit holders
should also verify the designated facility.
- 5.
Make check or money order payable to Montgomery County, Maryland and
mail with the completed renewal form to the address provided, in the
envelope provided, between the tenth and twentieth of the month. Your
permit will be sent to you by return mail with a renewal form and a
return envelope for the next month.

- 1. Have the renewal form
completed as directed above before arriving.
- 2. If paying by check, have
it completed as directed above for the proper amount.
- 3. Bring your completed form
to the Parking Sales and Collections Office between 7:30 am and 4:00
pm, Monday through Friday. The address is: 801 Ellsworth Avenue Silver
Spring MD 20910 (Garage # 61). The office is closed on County holidays.

Avoid long lines - renew on days other than the first or last day of
the month.
6) How do I display my permit?
- Peel
off the white paper backing and place the clear plastic pocket on the
driver's side of the vehicle, on either the front or rear window.
Insert the sticker in the pocket so it is visible from outside the
vehicle. Display of permits in a manner which hinders visibility to the
Enforcement Officer may result in the issuance of a Parking Violation
Notice.
7) Does the purchase of a
permit guarantee the holder a parking space?
- No.
Should all the spaces be full, PCS permits are also valid for the
use of any long-term (silvered colored) metered spaces in Garage 58 and
other Silver Spring parking lots (e.g. Blair Mill Road between Eastern
Avenue and Newell Street, and in Garage 5 at Bonifant Street and Dixon
Avenue). The locations of alternative parking garages in the local area

8) Do handicapped parkers
need
to buy a permit?
- No.
Vehicles displaying handicapped parking tags or placards will be
allowed to park at all metered spots (without payment) as well as in
PCS spaces. Enforcement will not ticket. There is no change from the
existing policy.
9) Will there still be spaces
available for carpoolers?
- Yes.
There will be no change to the spaces available for carpoolers.
10) What is the cost for
car-pooling?
- 2 Persons $65.00 ⁄ month for 1
permit
- 3 and 4 Persons $35.00 ⁄ month for 1
permit
- 5 or more Persons $5.00 ⁄ month
for 1 permit
11) Will there be any metered
spaces?
- There will be 50 short term
(3 hour) meter spaces.
- There
will be 319 long term meter spaces.
Payment for meter parking can be made
by
either:

minute spaces available for the child care center?

14) Can I use my PCS permit
in
other parking garages?
- You
may use your PCS permit to park in other Silver Spring area public
parking garages as long as they are not cashier operated.
- PCS
