Since 2003, FSLG has been conducting seminars for Federal agency and departments to address questions involving compliance with Federal tax matters. Because of the demand and the range of topics, we have expanded the seminar to two days this year.
Are You…
-
Wondering whether you are in full compliance with employment tax and information reporting requirements?
-
Worried about what an IRS audit of your agency may uncover?
-
Unsure of whether compliance issues may exist that you are not aware of?
A Special Offer from the IRS
To promote compliance with tax regulations, the IRS is offering a two-day seminar for Federal agencies. You will learn what issues are being discovered in the field by IRS auditors. Those very auditors will reveal what they’re finding and how to avoid making the same mistakes.
Two Dates and Locations and an Expanded Agenda
This year, we are presenting the seminar in two locations:
April 28th and 29th Denver, CO
May 12th and 13th Washington, DC
For the first time, we have expanded the seminar to two days – one for accounting specialists concerned with Forms 1099 and other information reporting, then one for specialists in payroll issues. You can attend either or both, but please be sure to specify which day(s) you are attending. For more information, see the attached agenda for Denver or for Washington for dates, locations and topics.
Free Forms and Publications CD-ROM
As an attendee you will receive “The IRS Guide to Free Tax Services,” which has a list and synopses of IRS publications that can answer your tax questions. You will also get a CD-ROM of 1,360 IRS forms, instructions and publications referred to by the alphabetized index (a $40 value). You will also receive handouts for each of the presentations.
Absolutely Free
There is no charge for the seminar.
Hurry - Space Is Limited
Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no limitation on the number of representatives you can send, but total seating is limited. We will take all comers while seating lasts. To reserve your seats, send the names, job titles, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses of your attendees to Michael.Durland@irs.gov. Please specify which sessions you will attend, particularly whether you’ll attend both days. You can send questions to the same address; please provide a telephone number in case it is easiest to reach you by telephone.
Register Before These Closing Dates
Registration will close on Friday, April 17th for the April 28th seminar in Denver and on Friday, May 1st, for the May 12th seminar in Washington, DC. This gives us time to ensure we prepare enough materials and provide security access lists to the facilities hosting the seminars.
Spread the Word
Feel free to cascade this e-mail to Federal agency colleagues who might be interested in this special offer.
