Mission Statement & Purpose

Mission Statement

The Office of Strategy and Innovation is dedicated to continuous acceleration of CDC’s health impact and improvements in health equity. OSI will do this by leading CDC’s efforts to accomplish agencywide health impact goals, incorporating efforts to improve health equity in all CDC activities, fostering strategic excellence and innovation across the agency, and providing superior decision support to CDC’s executive leadership.


Purpose

OSI Provides Leadership In:

  • Setting and managing agencywide goals
  • Eliminating health disparities
  • Blending health needs, science, and available resources to accomplish CDC's goals
  • Applying knowledge management for decision support in allocation of resources
  • Fostering strategic excellence and innovation across CDC

OSI is Accountable For:

  • Achieving agencywide goals
  • Improving health equity
  • Fostering strategic excellence and innovation across CDC
  • Providing decision support to the Executive Leadership Board for the allocation of CDC's resources
