Continental Shelf Scientific Committee
The Outer Continental Shelf
(OCS) Scientific Committee is
chartered to
advise the Director on the feasibility, appropriateness, and scientific value of the
Environmental Studies Program and the OCS Sand and Gravel Program. Members are appointed by the Secretary of
the Interior.
Members are appointed for their scientific competence, reputation
within their field of expertise, and ability to represent important elements of MMS's
research and science information efforts.
