2009 Wind Turbine Reliability Workshop
The purpose of this workshop is to identify and examine turbine reliability issues among plant developers, operators, manufacturers and others.
We plan to explore difficult questions, such as:
• What are the most pressing reliability, operation and maintenance issues?
• How can reliability gaps be understood, verified, monitored, documented, addressed and closed?
• Can the value of tracking, recording, and reporting reliability performance provide real and verifiable cost savings?
• How would a reliability tracking database pilot project proceed to characterize and benchmark performance of the US fleet?
• What stakeholder feedback to the design teams would most likely result in progressive changes in advanced turbine designs?
Workshop topics:
• Gearboxes
• Blades
• Wind Turbine manufacturing
• Owner/operator’s perspectives
• Generators and power conditioning
• Condition monitoring
• Data analysis and reliability
• Major initiatives
A preliminary session topics and speakers list is now available in pdf format.
The registration fee is only $250.00 for the entire 2-day event ($300.00 after May 29)! The fee covers all workshop materials, continental breakfasts and buffet lunches, and a CD of the presentations (mailed to attendees after workshop).
