Quick Guidelines

  • Please write your announcement according to our guidelines and limit information to a total of 100 words (700 characters) or less. Please avoid using abbreviations or acronyms
  • Submission deadline for announcements is no later than seven business days before the publication date (the 1st and 15th of each month)
  • The announcement may not violate federal regulations, and the employer must not engage in discriminatory practices and policies
  • Placement agencies must mention if a fee is involved
  • Universities offering special incentives to returned Volunteers may announce them in Hotline.

Sample Announcement

Project Coordinator - Nairobi, Kenya

Position available with Jambo, an international nonprofit organization working in Africa. Duties: plans and manages all aspects of new project; supervises staff of 20; liaises with local NGOs; evaluates current projects. Qualifications: BA/BS in international public administration or related field; Swahili fluency; strong organizational skills; three years’ overseas development experience, preferably in Africa. Salary: $30K–50K.
