Online Vehicle Registration Renewal
  The Online Vehicle Registration Renewal service allows you to renew your eligible vehicle registration quickly and easily via the Internet, when it is most convenient for you. With this service, you are able to renew one or several vehicles in a single transaction using a credit card or electronic check for a minimal administrative processing fee.  
  Before starting your renewal you will need:

  • The license plate number for the vehicle you are renewing (view non-eligible license plates).
  • Current emissions test data on file for the vehicle you are renewing (if applicable).
  • Current insurance information on file for the vehicle you are renewing.
  • Your credit card or checking account information.
  • A valid email address.

Please Note:

  • Currently, only vehicles registered in the following counties are eligible for online renewal: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Delta, Denver, Douglas, Eagle, El Paso, Garfield, Gilpin, Grand, Jefferson, Larimer, Logan, Mesa, Morgan, Pueblo, Routt, San Miguel, Weld and Yuma.
  • This application will not renew expired vehicle registrations.
  • Diesel vehicles in non-emission counties are eligible to renew online (Get more information about the Colorado Motor Vehicle Emissions Program).
  • If you are leasing a vehicle, please verify that the leasing company is not renewing for you prior to renewing your tabs online.
  • Handicap plates are eligible to renew online during years that validation of handicap status is not required; validation years must be completed at your County Motor Vehicle Office.
  • An administrative processing fee applies to all online renewal transactions - Calculate your processing fees.
  • Upon completion of your online transaction, please allow up to 10 business days for delivery of your vehicle registration documents and renewal tabs.
