State and Local Training Advisory Committee (SALTAC)

The Advisory Committee was established in 1983 to provide valuable advice to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in areas such as training policy; training needs for state and local law enforcement personnel; training curriculum, course content, and evaluation; and student admission, performance, testing and evaluations.

The Committee membership consists of up to 21 members. Membership is balanced with Federal enforcement agencies that work closely with state and local law enforcement agencies, and a cross-section of representatives from state and local law enforcement, law enforcement organizations, and academia.

The Committee meets biannually and at other times as directed by the co-chairs. More information on the SALTAC can be found at http://fido.gov/facadatabase/ or contact:
