Messages from RPCVs to the Obama Administration

In this series of videos, shot by NBC's Thomas Snowden around the time of President Barack Obama's inauguration, Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) from around the country who carried flags and marched in the inaugural parade talk about the value of the Peace Corps, and urge the Obama administration to give strong support to the agency.

As part of this series, Snowden includes two compelling interviews of two former Volunteers. The first is of RPCV Rajeev Goyal, who speaks about how he represented America for most of the villagers he met while working as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal from 2001 to 2003.

The final interview is of Sunaree Marshall, who speaks about having to learn to rely upon herself and others while working as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mongolia from 2005 to 2008.
