Revised Schedule – 2010-2014 MAGTIP The development and approval of the 2010-2014 has been delayed. Please see the revised schedule for further details. MAG Closeout Process for FFY2009 Federal Funds The MAG Closeout Process for Federal fiscal year (FFY) 2009 is underway. There will be a meeting held to discuss the Closeout process and requirements on March 30, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. There is a The DRAFT FY09 MAG Federal Fund Programming Principles will be used as guidance for the process. Please see the Draft MAG Federal Fund Programming Principles Section for the document. It is required that MAG member agencies notify MAG of the FFY09 projects that will not be able to obligate by September 2009, and are requesting to be deferred to a later year in the MAG TIP. Please read the memo below, and fill out the Deferral Request Form, and if needed, use the Deferral Justification Requirements memo for guidance. Please make the best effort to submit the form and the letter by April 20, 2009. To submit a project that can utilize federal funds for the Federal FY2009 Close Out, please complete the Project Request form below and submit it to Eileen Yazzie, eyazzie@mag.maricopa.gov ), via e-mail, fax: 602.254.6300, or mail: 302 N. 1st Avenue, Suite #300, Phoenix, AZ 85003. A member of the Transportation Review Committee, or the Management Committee from your jurisdiction has the authority to transmit the request for projects for the FFY09 Close Out. Project Request forms are due: Monday, April 20, 2009 by noon/12:00 p.m.; no late forms will be accepted. Transportation Programming Guidebook The purpose of the Guidebook is to provide MAG member agencies background information, instructions, requirements, schedules, applications forms, and contact information for different transportation programs and requirements for the RTP and MAG TIP for FY 2009. This guidebook explains the available transportation funds, funding allocations, and projections as they relate to programming transportation projects. There will be a workshop held on August 11, 2008, 1:30 p.m. at MAG in the Saguaro room to review the Guidebook and applications. DRAFT MAG Federal Fund Programming Principles The purpose of the Principles is to establish a transparent set of programming principles for the competitive project selection process for MAG federal funds, clarify the application and programming process, ensure consistency with the SAFETEA-LU and CMAQ Federal Regulations, comply with the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) policy directives, and encourage project completion. It is the intent to use and test the Draft Principles in fiscal year (FY) 2009 for the competitive project selection process, project change requests, and the Federal Fiscal Year 2009 Closeout Process. MAG Federally Funded TIP Projects MAG created a website dedicated to provide members of the public and local government staff with information on the status of federally funded projects currently proceeding through the Arizona Department of Transportation design review and clearance process.
