Please review the information in the New Depository Coordinators tutorial in light of the regional library’s responsibility to develop and maintain a comprehensive collection of U.S. Government publications in your state and region and also for the regional library’s responsibility to provide leadership and consultative services for the selective depository libraries in your state or region.

As a new regional librarian, consider introducing yourself with phone calls to the coordinators and library directors at the selective depository libraries in your state or region. Also consider visiting several of the nearby selective depository libraries to become more familiar with their operations.
