THE RUN AFTER DARING JAIL ESCAPE:
U.S. MARSHALS ADD HIM TO 15 MOST WANTED FUGITIVE LIST |

On the night of November 30,
2006, Aaron Lopez Garcia and three other
inmates escaped from the Sunnyside, Washington city jail. While luck ran
out for his escape cohorts who were tracked down and captured, Garcia’s
fortune of freedom continues. However, it may soon end due to his new
status – a fugitive on the U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted list.
“We added Aaron Garcia to the Marshals 15 Most Wanted list because his
extensive criminal history illustrated the danger he posed to society,”
said U.S. Marshal Michael Kline of the Eastern District of Washington.
“Elevating him to our list hopefully will result in his capture, and we
will leave no stone unturned until we make that happen.”

Garcia, 29, is wanted by the
U.S. Marshals for escape and firearms violations. On February 10, 2005,
Garcia was in a vehicle that almost caused an accident. When the vehicle
was stopped, officers observed a handgun on the floor board next to
Garcia, who was sitting in the backseat. He was taken into custody and
charged with illegal possession of a weapon, and his charge was referred
to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, which brought federal
charges against him. Garcia went to trial and was found guilty.
He is a documented member of the Nortenos gang, and has known a life of
crime since he was a juvenile. Garcia has been charged and convicted of
a number of offenses to include several firearm possessions, robbery,
domestic violence, drug possession, burglary, and assault.
Garcia is a Hispanic male who has black hair and brown eyes. He is 5
foot 8 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. He has the gang name
“NORTENOS” tattooed on his chest in large script.
“We urge the public to stay on the lookout for Aaron Garcia,” said
Marshal Kline. “He is considered armed and dangerous.”
A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his
