Program and Process Information

Map of New Orleans Parishes This section of the FEMA web site identifies the projects FEMA is funding to reconstruct critical physical infrastructure and provides information for effective decision-making by local, state, and federal government officials and others with an interest in the successful rebuilding of the area.

In addition, this section documents the potential for significant impacts on the human environment in the New Orleans area from FEMA-funded critical physical infrastructure projects. Information will be posted as updates become available, including FEMA actions on critical infrastructure project grant applications and other relevant public notices. Projects

The objective of the Public Assistance Grant Program is to assist states, local governments, and certain private nonprofit organizations in alleviating suffering and hardship resulting from major disasters or emergencies declared by the President. The Public Assistance Grant Program provides supplemental federal disaster assistance for the repair, replacement, or restoration of disaster-damaged, publicly owned facilities and the facilities of certain private nonprofit organizations. The Alternative Arrangements Mapping Application is now available. Click on this image to access the application The interactive mapping application provides users with information about Public Assistance projects, infrastructure, socioeconomic data, and political boundaries from the seven parishes comprising Greater New Orleans and allows them to display it on a map.
