ClinicalTrials.gov
has been chosen as one of the "Top 50" programs
in the 2004 Innovations in American Government
Awards competition. The prestigious awards are
sponsored by the Ash Institute for Democratic
Governance and Innovation of the Kennedy School
of Government at Harvard University.
Representing the best and brightest in
government, ClinicalTrials.gov is 1 out of
50 programs chosen from a pool of nearly 1,000
applicants. Four criteria are used to evaluate
each application: novelty; effectiveness in
addressing important problems; significance;
and the potential for replication by other
government entities. 15 finalists will be
announced in March. A site visit to NLM will
be held as part of the process to select the
final winners.
