Two Disaster Recovery Centers Will Be Open Sunday

To further help individuals who have suffered from disaster damage, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Ohio Emergency Management Agency (Ohio EMA) announced that two (2) Disaster Recovery Centers will stay open on Sunday.

The following centers will be open this Sunday, Aug. 13 from noon until 6 p.m.

Lake County
JFK Senior Center

Eastlake, OH

First Church Congregational
United Church of Christ
22 Liberty Street
Painesville, OH

Normal hours are Monday thru Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice

Disaster Recovery Center at Madison to Move

The Disaster Recovery Center at Lakeland Community College East located at 201 Water Tower in Madison will close on Saturday, Aug, 12, at 6 p.m. and move to Mentor Monday Aug. 14.

The center will be open from Monday Aug. 14 thru Thurs. Aug. 17 only, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Residents of Ashtabula, Geauga and Lake counties may visit one of the centers to:

FEMA manages federal response and recovery efforts following any national incident. FEMA also initiates mitigation activities, works with state and local emergency managers, and manages the National Flood Insurance Program. FEMA became a part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on March 1, 2003.
