ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has added two "self-service," home repair information centers in Sidney and Conklin, New York.
Flood victims can pick-up a variety of publications about simple, low-cost repair and retrofitting solutions that may reduce damage and loss should another flood occur. There is also information about the National Flood Insurance Program.
The information will be available through September 4, 2006 at the following locations:

FEMA manages federal response and recovery efforts following any national incident. FEMA also initiates mitigation activities, works with state and local emergency managers, and manages the National Flood Insurance Program. FEMA became part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on March 1, 2003.
