Phoenix, AZ -- Disaster recovery officials will establish a Local Assistance Center for one day in Aguila on Saturday, November 18th. The center will be at the Aguila Public Library, 51321 Ray Street.

The Aguila center will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for one day only to assist applicants who suffered damage in October's storms and flooding. The Local Assistance Centers in Salome and Wickenburg will remain open to assist applicants until they are no longer necessary. Information will be available on the disaster assistance programs available.

State and federal agencies are continuing to encourage homeowners, renters, and business owners, including farmers, who have sustained damages to their homes or personal property from the flooding in October, to take the first step in seeking disaster assistance by calling FEMA's toll-free registration number at 1-800-462-9029. The registration number for persons who are hearing or speech impaired is TTY 1-800-462-7585. Disaster assistance programs available include temporary housing, individual and family grants, and other aid programs. Low-interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration may also be available for residential and business losses not fully covered by insurance.
